The Transform / Flow Function must do this... ;)
Trick is to take the target surface like a lofted or extruded surface!

but not always, the target surface is extruded or loft. Unfortunately that does not solve. could have a simple option of conforming to the surface.

Hi Alex, yes like Pilou writes above there is a "Projective" option in Transform > Deform > Flow which works like that:

A couple of notes - the target object should be smooth and all rays from the "base plane" should hit the target object.

If you are having a problem with it please post the .3dm model file with your objects in it.
