Curve from 2 views?

I wonder - is there a command in MoI that would be equivalent of "curve from 2 views"?
I could easily reproduce the same functionality by extruding curves and using intersection, but as I've noticed that a couple of commands in MoI have multiple functions I've just thought I might be missing something. Tried boolean intersect etc and those do not do the trick (or I'm doing it wrong).
For those curious what it is for it is super useful when recreating 3d curves from blueprints.

"This command can also be used to create a "curve from 2 views"

Thx Pilou - that should be it. Haven't noticed those extra commands in curve section.
Sadly can't get it to work as "curve from 2 views". I've drawn a circle in front view, then a polyline (at an angle) in side, then tried the command and nothing happened. Same setup in Rhino works. What am I doing wrong?

edit: with ctrl point curve it works. hmmmm...

edit2: when ctrl point curve is aligned to form a straight line it does not work.

edit3: it seems that MoI assumes that if I create a straight line it should be projected / extruded in very specific direction (in my setup it means up/down), which is incorrect in this instance. Wonder whether anything can be done with it, without breaking correct behavior in other cases.
But at least in more complex setups, with more flowing curves where "curve from 3 views" is much more useful it works as it should :) .

Maybe make a little gap on your perimeter circle...

Hi Przemas, can you please post the file with the line in it that doesn't work?

Thanks, - Michael

Hi Przemas, so yes currently MoI's "curve from 2 views" only works with 2 planar curves, which does not include lines since a line can be on many different planes instead of just one plane. I've updated this function for the next v4 beta so it will work with lines too. However your particular line curve there is made up of 5 points that squiggle around only very slightly but enough so that MoI doesn't recognize it as a line. But if you make a simple 2 point line there that will then work in the next v4 beta.

Thanks, - Michael

Thx Michael, glad to know it will work with lines in V4 :) . Initially I've used a line, then as it didn't work, I've started experimenting and tried a control point curve (built from points on a line - straight as far as I can tell, but I guess internally, when you go really down with tolerances it might not be - but can't really draw any more precise than software allows me :D ).

Hi Przemas yeah probably the "is it a line" function shouldn't have such a super tight tolerance. But it's kind of a bad time to mess with that right now near the end of the beta period.

totally got it Michael. Stability comes first :) . And if it will work with regular lines it will be more than fine - it is an edge case already :) .
