import capabilities?

Hello,
I am very new to 3d design. I want to use moi to design large-scale sculpture. I am wondering if there's a relatively easy way to import a human figure that can be placed into a model, for purposes of showing scale? It can be a crude figure, doesn't need to be detailed, and will be used repeatedly in subsequent designs. Since I'm new and slow, just trying to avoid drawing a figure from scratch.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've used Makehuman to create the body and imported it to blender to adjust a pose. From Blender you can export to obj file. Or you make a pose direct in MakeHuman and export directly to obj.For object files is an import written by Max Smirnov. You can find it here:

Maybe it's useful to reduce the size with a lower detail with MeshLab or something else.

Have a nice day
Karsten

p.s.: There is also a model made by Chipp Walters called Pat you can use: http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=7351.1
