As Incscape seems not to support the quick an easy AI import from MOI via copy and paste
I would like to ask if someone has found the quickest way to move a shape from MOI to
Incscape, enrich it there with curves created with the amazing Spiro plugin and move all
back to MOI.
PS As I read there seems to be no way ever to license Spiro for MOI - so is Incscape
still the only software to offer this amazing way to easily create perfectly rounded curves ?
I have read a comment, that MOI Mastermind Michael had plans about
implementing Spiro into MOI (wow) but that it was not possible to get
it licensed, unfortunately.
Importing works great. but changing the shape of an imported curve smoothly
is not easy due to the hig point density - and reducing the point number with
rebuild will change the curve shape in parts with a small radius.
Maybe I have overseen a function / scripts in MOI offering a similar functionality
as the "Power Stroke" in Inkscape - if there is some I´ll be glad to hear from.
In Moi you can make that...sure that is not calligraphy here...but if you have cool curves at the beginning...
(even here with 7 points you can make infinity of result and as you can add points...:)
and with no intimidating UI! ;)
some lines...can be a cool challenge with only 7 points!
Pilou have you tried the Power Stroke in Inkscape ? As with Spiro it makes it
very easy to achieve long smooth changes in a curve with just a couple of points
and a great option of closing the ends with rounded caps.
Fat line is great but you cant achive changes in width as easily and smoothly as
with Power Stroke. But I am ging through all possibilities in MOI as I would
prefer to stay within MOI than to move between INK and MOI.
