I am looking at a new decorating process for glass bottles. This requires me to supply 3d drawings of the bottle to set up the machine but also requires 'flattened'? section to allow us to position our artwork for precise application? Is this something I should consider trying myself, as a complete 3d novice? Is this possible with this software or am I in need of something a bit more complicated?

Hi John, it's possible to do stuff like you're describing using the Transform > Deform > Flow command which is described here:

But the whole process is going to be fairly advanced technique for someone with no prior 3d modeling experience at all. You might want to look at ArtCAM and see if that will do the job for you more simply.
