I'm interested To know how you cast this exactly?
I never printed or cast anything, so I don't have any experience with this kind of thing.

Did you design and print a mold of the lizard?
Or did you print the lizard and cast a mold from that?

Sorry guys for the slow reply

I have been busy working, damn christmas is coming :)

The model was printed directly in a castable wax resin at 25 microns (40 layers per mm) , sprued onto a casting tree by the nose , this is invested and the wax burnt out, then molten gold is cast into the hollow mold , once cooled I clean up and polish it and set the sapphires for eyes.



finished weight Andrei is approx 4.5 grams

The hands are a bit of a patch up I'm afraid (purists don't look)

oval profile for fingers, balls for toes, webbing a curved solid and a flattened ball for the centre,
as long as the parts intersect any overlaps print as a solid structure
