Hi Chipp,

I'm getting a "Stack not found" error when I try to launch the builder. What am I doing wrong? Running MacOs Sierra

I'm not near a Mac right now.

Did you unZip everything before running it? There's a single file called MoiGUI.livecode which should be in the same folder as the app bundle.

Unzipped everything, .livecode is in the same folder with the app bundle. When I click on the icon the GUI Builder Start screen pops up for a second then a message "A stack cannot be found" appears.

Try moving everything to your desktop and run there. It may be a permissions issue.

Hi Neo,

Unfortunately, it must be Sierra. I still have El Capitan installed on my Mac and it works perfect there. Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now to update this Mac, but I will try a bit later on. I have a laptop I should go ahead and update and when I do I'll look into it.

I'd suggest making sure your protection allows for running non-signed apps and also that you have permissions to run it.

Please review below and make sure:
1. You have the correct file structure
2. You have correct permissions

Michael,

For some reason using syntax below no longer works. This keeps me from posting images using a URL (thus not bloating your forum).

Hi Chipp, re: <img> tag, the src= attribute needs to have double quote characters around the URL, like this:

code:
<img src="https://altuit.cloud/web/dbpub/3D/MoiGuiConfig.png">

- Michael

Thanks. I thought I tried quotes as I know that's proper HTML, but before it worked w/out the quotes. Thanks!

Neo,

You might want to download the free LiveCode then just open the MoIGUI.livecode file and see if it doesn't work.

Once you open it, it should just 'play'-- no need to do anything else. I'd suggest V7 or V8.

Chipp,

Downloaded LiveCode v8 opens the file in edit mode does not run. How do you run the stack within LiveCode, is it by clicking on the play button? If so mine is ghosted.

Hello. Thanks to everyone who has contributed / is contributing to this GUI project. I really appreciate the efforts -- especially for a darker interface!

Hello Chipp, I am sure you're doing awesome.
I couldn't download the zip file from the link that you posted,
it keeps giving me an error. So, I got in touch with Michael
and he sent me the App. The App, unfortunately doesn't open.
'A stash cannot be found' is the message.

Can you please help? Thank you in advance.
Sandeep.

Just downloaded the guibuilder again, along with the latest livecode.org open source build.

The guibuilder exe works fine and the stack loads into livecode and runs live with no errors...

The download link in the initial post worked fine. Maybe you need to start with "why that didnt work for you"...

There was also an update to the stack downloaded to the initial download...

Probably a Mac permissions issue. They keep changing them. Sadly, I'm not in a position to rebuild the Mac version at this time.

Is this application (and the Icon Builder application) still being supported?

I would like to get this application, but the links at the beginning of this thread seem to give me a warning that the site is not secure to visit.

Is there a safe/reliable way to get this and the Icon Builder for the Mac?
