Thanks Frenchy! Alas it seems this app is only for a PC and not Mac.

It looks like the ownership of Mischief is changing hands.

Now I'm no expert, but I get the feeling that two things are bound to happen with a piece of software anytime another company assumes ownership of a piece of software's development:

1) The interface starts to bloat, and 2) the price goes up. I mean, something has to justify a important annual version "upgrade."

I got mine on sale for $18, it's no-frills and has essentially eliminated my need to pencil and ink artwork on actual paper for my employer.
As a program, I feel it does needs a little more work, but I love its simplicity like Moi.

I suppose a buyout worked to some degree for SketchUp. I suppose that MBA suits know what's really best for the paying masses. If thay say so...

It's an important day here at Made with Mischief and I wanted to share the news with you.
I'm excited to tell you that this week, the majority ownership of our parent company, The Foundry, transitioned to HgCapital, a highly respected private equity firm based here in London. The HgCapital team have deep software experience and take a long-term view on their investments, which in some cases span a decade or more. They look at how to best invest in R&D; how to invest in people; how to innovate; and how to ensure customers remain at the epicenter of everything we do. In fact, if you look at companies within HgCapital's portfolio, the Net Promoter scores are some of the highest in their respective industries. So as you can imagine, the future looks promising. As we start this next chapter, we're in an even better position to deliver more ground-breaking solutions that address the creative challenges and opportunities on the horizon. If you have any questions, please let me know.

That investment purchase of the foundry probably had very little to do with dev approach, and mischeif was a very little concern also.... i wouldnt worry that too much of anything will change with its dev, look and feel, etc. ..

Interestingly, I was asked to visit with the investors before the purchase and answered a number of questions about MODO and the state of 3D. I specifically mentioned they should take a look at MoI for its ease of use and progressive disclosure interface as I find MODO's learning curve to be considerably steeper.

I don't think there's going to be much if any changes to the existing productline anytime very soon.
