Hi another question..........Is it possible or will it be possible soon to set the axis or base point of a profile that is due to be used in a sweep operation without physically moving and aligining the sweep profile to the base of the path? If not this would be a great feature so we can draw a profile anywhere in the scene.

Hi rhodesy,

It is possible to draw profiles just off to the side of the sweep rail instead of placing them on the rail. For example:

For more info on this "auto-place" mode, see:
http://moi3d.com/1.0/docs/moi_command_reference7.htm#sweep

However, auto-place mode will use the centroid point of the profile curve as the base point to align on to the rail. There isn't currently any way to adjust that but I do plan on adding that.

Thanks Michael - yeah that was the issue i was reffering to - having the option to specify the sweep point with "auto place". Im thinking it will be especially useful for things like architectural mouldings and cornicing where the path is likely to be from a corner point of a moulding rather than in its centre. Great to see it's on the list....looking forwad to the sweep update for v2.
