Hi Michael,

My problem was that I wanted to scale just the top face of my extrusion. I was selecting the face and then attempting the scale but nothing was happening. I went about it a different way using blend and achieved what I wanted. I have since realised that I could have scaled the face by going into "show points", selecting my points and then doing the scale. One thing I really like about MoI is that there seem to be a number of ways to go about things.

Just a quick note - you can't turn on points for some objects that are made up of many surfaces joined together at trimmed edges, there is some more information here.

But if you break a joined object into individual surfaces using Edit/Separate, then you can always show control points for the individual surfaces.
