Brian.
Perhaps I have got the wires crossed.

The scripts I posted, are for changing the view from the Top view, Side view and so on, as you are working.

Is this what you are after or is it something else.

Hi Brian, there isn't currently any way to display the grid over top of everything instead of underneath it.

It shouldn't be hard for me to add that when I start working on new features again. It will be a few weeks or maybe a month before I'll be ready to do that.

In the meantime I have added this to the wiki wishlist: http://moi3d.com/wiki/Wishlist so that I can keep track of it.

Thanks Malc and Michael.
Yes Michael, that would be good. The current alternative, using the Hide option, seems to be a bit "fragile' in its working--does things not expected?
But, just to be able to have that overlay to allow precise location of a work in relation to an object, just seems a sweet way to work.

Hi Brian,

To do this, you could consider using a construction lines instead.

See http://moi3d.com/1.0/docs/moi_command_reference10.htm#constructionlines

For example, there is an explanation for putting a cylinder on top of a box precisely".

I see elswhere talk of wire or mesh view options.
I wonder if there could be an object transparency slider instead?
Being able to see through the objects grey/yellow if required may solve a lot of problems perhaps?

Hi Brian, one major thing that the wireframe mode would do would be to speed up the display by a lot since it avoids the creation of display meshes.

Transparency wouldn't have that same "speed increase" effect, so it's not really something that would be a replacement for wireframe mode, but it could certainly be useful for other purposes.

I have added it to the wiki wishlist: http://moi3d.com/wiki/Wishlist
