By using Dropbox with a custom objects folders with Max's scripts, I effectively do hava a cloud-based object repository. If I were to share my folder with another user, they could then also have somewhere they could put their library objects and we would both see them.

At some point, I suspect the Object Library browser would need to have tabs or folders some other way of helping organize the many library objects.
