Hi Rudl, did you ever have this problem previously in v2 or is it new behavior on your system?

Did you notice if this behavior started to happen recently after doing any particular kind of system update, like installing a new video driver or installing any kind of system wide software that might alter the display appearance or anything like that?

You might try disabling desktop composition for the full system, by going to Control panel > "Appearance and Personalization" > "Change window glass colors" > uncheck "Enable transparency" option and see if that does anything.

What kind of video card do you have in your system?

I bought some weeks before a 64bit notebook with win7pro and installed V3 some days later. I really don´t if I used MoI these days but I remember "yes" and I didn´t see this behaviour. Last days, I installed Xnview, gimp and paint.net.

Hi Rudl, it's probably some bug in the video drivers that came pre-installed with the machine.

You should find out what video card you have which you can do by right-clicking on the desktop and picking "Screen resolution" near the bottom then push the "Advanced settings" link, in the dialog that comes up the type of video card you have will be shown in the "Adapter Type" box near the top of the dialog.

You'll then need to go to the manufacturer's web site (either nVidia, ATI/AMD or Intel most likely) and download the most recent video drivers they have for your particular card model and install those.

Hi Rudl, I'm glad it's working better for you now. Most likely there was some problem with the video driver in your original installation. You probably now have an updated video driver that fixes the problem.

No, I havn´t updated the video driver. I had the newest driver in last installation.

But I had the problem once more and also red marks on the letter "i" in some places.

I switched back freom Windows basic to Windows Aero design and now it seems to function. Also the red marks disappeared.

Do you think I should now try to install the newest video driver.

Rudl
