Hi Alex - MoI does not open x_t files directly - that's the Parasolid geometry kernel native format and to support that would require licensing some pretty expensive libraries which would likely increase the price tag of MoI by quite a lot.
What program was used to write the x_t files in the first place? Usually the best thing is to use that same program to write out a STEP or IGES file instead of an x_t file.
If you are receiving the model from someone else, you would usually request for them to export it to STEP and IGES formats (it's not a bad idea to request both) from whatever CAD system they are using and either of those formats can be read into MoI then.
If you are not able to request that then you will probably have some difficulty - x_t is not a particularly easy format to deal with and you won't find a bunch of free converter utilities like you would for polygon file formats like OBJ or stuff like that. Probably for converting it yourself you would need to get a Parasolid based CAD program like SolidWorks for example to read in the x_t and then export it to STEP or IGES yourself.
Normally though the creation of STEP and IGES format data is done by your client who is sending you the data in the first place.

I would definitely recommend though that you request your client to generate STEP and IGES files from the CAD system that they are using and send those to you instead of sending the x_t.
