Helix problem?

Latest beta: After I create a helix (any size, any location) and then do another command (lets say 'circle'), when I get the pointer near the helix, the CPU pegs out (full usage), and there are no snaps. Then after about 5 seconds, CPU usage levels off, and snaps come back. Tried on 2 different machines, same result. 1 machine is brand new, with Moi installed fresh yesterday, so i know i didnt mess with the ini or anything.

Hi Nick, it's the apparent intersection snap kicking in - when a helix like that is projected down to a plane for generating the apparent intersection snap it produces a flattened curve that loops around over and over on top of itself and that tends to cause the intersection mechanism to do a lot of extra work.

Here's a couple of previous posts about it:

The problem should go away if you disable apparent intersection snaps.
