Human reference for MoI?

Just wondering if anyone here uses or knows of a decent human stand-in model usable within MoI?

Similar to say Sketchup's Human reference always seen in the SU images posted here.

I always find myself fudging my model dimensions downstream when I drop in a character or two in my rendering app.

It'd be nice if I had a similar stand-in when sizing my models or corridors and catwalks etc.

Typically I set my units to meters, and try to make thing fit around a 2-meter height but it'd be easier if I could plop in a reference and work around it.

Just wondering what you spaceship and architecture modelers do to figga out your spaces and dimensions...

Hi Will,

I use this guy sometimes, I think he's average height.
The arms and legs are movable for ergonomic situations.

Cheers

Wow!, thanks Danny!

I put together a boxy shape that matched proper dimensions but nothing as articulated as this!

I really appreciate it - thanks so much!

Hi ...
I tried to download this attachment and got a php file instead of a .zip file.
Not at all sure what is happening here. Maybe it's Firefox?
cheers,
eric

I just did a right-click, save as... (IExplorer)

This model makes me wish MoI had minimal parenting and pivot point attributes - I could then do foward kinematic positioning of the arms and legs a bit easier! (I had to straighten the right arm a bit...)

But he's fine just the way he is. I really appreciate the model!

Hmm, that's kind of odd - could you please let me know what version of Firefox you are currently using (in Firefox it's under Help / About Mozilla Firefox) ?

That may help to to figure out if something is not working right on the web server - it is supposed to prompt you for a download of the .zip file when you just click on the link, although like mentioned previously you can force a download by doing a right-click and "Save As" even if the auto-download is not working properly.

Hi Michael ...

It's Firefox 3.0.12 ...

In a couple of other cases this wouldn't download files and I had to go to Internet Explorer or Google Chrome as alternates.

Maybe some new security gimmick.

MoI is getting more exciting every day.

cheers,
eric
