Brian,
Here is the first one called sidepane.htm (ref #2)

This is placed in the UI folder.
Be sure to back up the original sidepane.htm before you overwrite it with this.

I dont remember what it's supposed to do so I cant test it first. I'm looking at the #1 file now to get that out to you.
Let me know.
Burr

Brian,
Your commandbar and commandbarright files I believe are just reversed but there are some subtle changes in the new beta that I need to look at so it works right. It's late and I've had a couple beers so I'm going to stop here instead of cause more confusion. Check out the new stuff and we'll get you squared away tommorow.

Hi Burr / Brian - re: deselect part, there are some notes here for how to set that one part up:

http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=1996.13

There is a fair amount of new stuff in the UI in this beta release, so you can't just copy an older version's UI file over top of it or else you'll lose all the new stuff.

Because each beta is kind of a changing and moving target, I'd generally recommend holding off on customizations until v2 is all wrapped up and isn't in flux anymore. But of course you're more than welcome to give it a try if you want - I just won't really be able to focus on it very much myself until things have stabilized.

I have quite a lot of notes on the new beta, it will take me until tomorrow to get them all straightened out.

So tomorrow I'll put out a proper notice post with all the notes.

Brian,
The sidepane file I posted is fine and works. You can get that loaded. Am looking at the other 3 files now to see if the toolbar config will go.

Brian,
Here are 3 files that would go into the ui folder.

It's the best I could do. Its all the same except that I couldnt get the input, options and help to move over to the right, so it all stays bunched up on the left.

In the same order but not exactly how you had it.

I think michael is right as this is an area that is having alot of change. It's only going to get worse from here on out. Best to wait till the version is released and then Michael will set it up for you. Just a short annoyance for a great product in the end.

Unless someone else with better skills than I in this area wants to look at these files and make the space happen.

Remember, you can always try these without worry if you rename the existing ones before copying them in. I always just append "old" to the existing name so its easy to revert by just deleting the new files, then finding the renamed originals and changing the name back again.

Good luck,
Burr

[EDIT] The zip file was edited so if you visited this file before you saw this, you must redo the process again[EDIT]
