Missing UI buttons...

Hi,

anybody had the Cancel and Done buttons vanish from the MoI Gui of all tools? (V1.0 as well as 2 Beta).

What would be the shortcut for "Done"? (couldn't find it in the docs).

What does MoI use for the interface? Can this problem be related to the Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 being installed on the system?
Or the big Monitor (2560x1600)?

Thanks for any hint - can't use MoI at the moment...

Cheers,

Thomas Helzle

Right click generally finish a function = Done
And repeat the last function when you stay in the same function!

Thanks Frenchy,

Hm - doesn't work (actually aborts the tool), so I guess it only works if the UI is there?

Weird,

Thomas

Running commands

You accomplish different tasks in MoI by running commands.

Some commands may apply their work immediately and then exit, while other commands may go through different stages waiting for you to pick points, select additional objects, or adjust various options before they are finished. Sometimes you may need to click the Done button to signal that you are finished with a stage. You can also right-click inside of a viewport, or push the Enter key as shortcuts for clicking Done.

Hi Thomas, yes this is caused by a bug in IE8 beta 2.

Currently you will need to uninstall that version of IE to make MoI work on your system. Once you uninstall it and go back to IE7 then your Done and Cancel buttons will show up again.

There is a shortcut for Done which is pushing the Enter key or using Right-click, however it will only work if there is a Done button found in the UI panel. The IE bug prevents that from happening so that shortcut won't help you in this case.
