I've been watching a lot of the Olympics the past week and seeing a lot of medal ceremonies. So here is a quick little version of a gold from Beijing, render in C4D. Still need to work on the Jade material, there is some noise that I don't like. Changed the color of the Jade, the gold medal has a milky white rather than the traditional green.

Looks great Grendel - I didn't realize that this year's Olympic medals had jade in them but that totally makes sense.

A very "current events" type model!

Added a simple bump map and a little displacement for the IOC side. It's hard to find hi-res (anything bigger than 300px) of the medals so the back image was actually from the Athens medals and I changed the header, the rest of the engraving is the same.
