Images and snapping

Hi.

I did the lamp tutorial recently. Yesterday I thought I'd do it again, but this time starting from scratch, and without watching the movie. You know, just to make sure I use my brain (sometimes you just have to deceive it into being active, no? ;) ).

So ... I opened up a new file and started to import the reference images. However, I think I noticed you can't snap 'em to anything. How do you place 'em accurately then? What's the most efficient way?

And yet another question: does anyone know where I can get more reference images? Are there commercial packages out there?

Bring on V2! ;)

Hi stinkie - make sure you have Object Snap turned on (the button for it on the bottom toolbar should be highlighted in orange, if not click on it to turn it on), then the images should snap same as any drawing tool.

They should snap both when you first draw one, or you can reposition it with snapping if you drag nearby the corner of the image. But note that the images are only editable by dragging when you are still inside of the View/Image command.
