Hello,
First, Happy New Year to all!
I am just sticking to a very simple task creating a helix and using the helix as rail to sweep a profile. I have no issues when using a circle as profile, but if using a asymmetrical profile, the profile gets slowly rotated out of the orientation at the start. (Hard to explain in words, therefore I attached some screenshots.
A similar effect can be seen when creating a circular array by copying the profile along a curve (given by the helix).
How can I keep the straight side of the profile parallel to the helix centerline?
Thanks for any input in advance ;o)))

Hi Joerg, set the option for Twist = Flat in the Sweep options:
Then additionally push the "Set flat direction" button that appears in the options once Twist=flat is set, and pick 2 points along the y axis to tell it the direction:
When twist = flat is set, the profile will only rotate around the given axis direction. The default axis is the world z axis, since your helix is aligned to the y axis instead that's why you need to use "Set flat direction" as well.
