Hi,
Is there an efficient way to 'flatten out' this shape? I need to get the top profile wire cut and need to have the entire shape flat so I can bend in the curves when I have the blank cut.

Maybe something with the Flow function ?
Draw a line above your object
Project it
Unwrap the curve
Flow function
Difference on the view is perspective optic effect! ;)

Hi Guy, you may need to rebuild the connecting area, it's kind of messy:
That comes from making an offset surface going around a bend where the offset distance is greater than the radius of the bend:

i wonder if the edge flange script could also be adapted to work backwards and/or to take snapshots therefore
effectively having the memory to "unfold"
- not tried this script or flow functionality yet its been on my radar...
