Hi Phil,

May be somewhat relevant to your question, but I've been running MoI (v4 and v5 betas) on one of the early M1 MacBook Pros and have been entirely satisfied with function and performance. I would think the current Macs would be just fine for MoI as well, but I have only limited experience with much older Mac Minis & not used MoI there.

Hi Phil

It's not a Mac Mini, but I've got a MacBook Pro, M1, 2020, running Sequoia 15.3.2 currently and I've never had any problems with MoI. The program doesn't start up as fast as Blender does, but there are no issues with running or crashes whatsoever.

Hi Phil. I've been using Moi on my Mac Mini for years. I had a 2018 at first, and I just upgraded to an M4 Mini with 16gb of RAM. Moi runs like a top, and I do some large builds requiring extreme precision.

Go for it!

Chris

That M4 Mini base model is pretty good, I never been a huge fan of the brand, but that product is really capable ... I don't see the difference between working in this tiny box and my full station, at least for 'normal' tasks (modelling, R&D in Houdini).

Ofc course there is always the moment where you need more ram, too bad any upgrade option (ram, storage) doesn't make any sense ($$$)
