Riko, the above image is an object that was twisted using a "flow on revolved surface" technique.

The twisting in the wheel object above was done by using a flat revolved circle for the reference plane and a surface that was twisted as the target.
So the Flow command will match the two surfaces and you will get an object that matches the point structure of the target surface.
The twisting of the target surface was really a cone that was twisted and then flattened.
I hope this explanation helps, I'm not sure how to else describe it.

The turbine shape in the second image looks like a Twist command was used.
