Has anyone ever tried this tutorial in MoI

I have gotten to page 2 where I am trimming the unwanted parts of the surface. After sweeping and trimming the main cylinder I don't know how to trim the balance of the sweep to keep only the part that would cover the hole.

Any ideas?
