Hi everyone,
just been playing with the demo, so far very impressive. Like a lot of people on this forum are saying, there is something very intuitive about MoIs overall approach to 3d modelling which makes its fun.
Im using it to make a basic conception/visualisation model for a building that has an organic roof design, something that is very difficult to model with my usual high end architectural apps. What would be a headache to model with my other programs is actually good fun in MoI.
My question:
In the pic below, you can see the roof modelled as a solid with lines drawn over it to give emphasis to its form. What I would like to do would be able to model this roof as a gridshell, that means a square grid or latice in the form of this roof. I have posted images of the model and as well as a gridshell so that you can hopefully see what I mean. I dont know how I would go about doing this.
Any advice appreciated.
