Hi Dave, the crash dump is showing the crash is inside of the Microsoft Direct3D system, when MoI first tries to talk to it.

But it is strange that this would suddenly start happening when it was working before. Do you know if there was any kind of system or driver update?

You might need to try updating to the latest DirectX version from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en

And it might be a good idea to try and update your video driver as well...

This is happening even before MoI tries to read anything from the .ini file, so it looks like the .ini file is probably not involved in the problem.
