Thanks so much! I have very limited experience with 3D modeling and have been beating my head on this one for a while. I did try sectioning it, but as you point out, it isn't easy getting it smooth. I had hoped there was an elegant solution. I can apply something similar to the transition between the neck and the peg head as well.
