I used Verve to hand-render this cover for my radio club's newsletter, but the background was constructed in Moi3D.

I needed something with an 'industrial' feel for this scene which is mean to inspire our club's next appearance at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory's Open House.
I warped a screen-capture in PhotoShop and used the result as a guideline sketch for which to paint around.
