Moment of Inspiration 3D modeling for designers and artists

This is a tee-shirt imprint design created for a regional softball tournament, in which most of the layout and type elements were created in MoI. In times past I would have made liberal use of distortion envelopes and extrusions just in CorelDRAW, but with MoI's new PDF 'hidden line removal' export I was able to do some interesting 3D effects. Indeed, a powerful addition to my graphics tool-kit!
In the UI shot, you can see some of the elements used. Each group of 3D text was exported separately to facilitate in easier layout manipulation once in Corel.
The procedure is simple for Corel and AI users: Export PDF from MoI. When imported (placed) within the graphics program, select the 'fill' bitmap object and adjust the levels within it to make it a solid white. Convert all imported object into a line-art bitmap and then use Corel or AI's auto-vector-tracing functions to create vector objects that can be edited and given fills. This yields an interesting "hand drawn" look.
