Question about Scene Browser Scroll Bar

Hi Michael,

Do you have any control over the way the Scene Browser Scroll Bar works?

As it is I click and hold on the white section and can scroll up and down just fine.

The PROBLEM comes about if I fail to stay in the white section and release the mouse button. It "scrolls" to the top of the list - not good.

The reason I fail to stay in the white section is that my attention is focused on the list as I try to scroll to the item of interest.

Is there any way to allow for leaving the white section but still have it work as if I was still in the white section?

Thanks.

Frederick

Hi Frederick, hmmm yes that does seem to be odd behavior that it changes position just on mouse release.

It seems that if you release the mouse while off of the scroll bar but inside the same UI Panel it's ok. But if you release the mouse while it is outside the panel over top of some other one that's when it resets to the top.

I'll see if I can tune that up, thanks for reporting it!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I never noticed that it only happened when leaving the Scene Browser.

I had mine parked on the left and I guess I always drifted to the right when scrolling.

For now I've parked it to the right so perhaps I will drift left and it will work as expected.

It would be grand to have it fixed.

Hi Frederick, I was able to figure out what was causing the scroll bar to be reset when releasing the mouse button outside the window and it should be fixed in the next beta. Thanks for reporting it!

Hi Michael,

That's good to know.

It can be really annoying at times - looking forward to the fix.

Thanks VERY much.

Frederick
