If I project a curve onto a object like a sphere, the curve is projected
onto the front and the backside of the sphere.

Is it possible to get MOI to only project the curve onto the frontside ?

Yes Choose "Closest Point" ! ;)

I cant find it in the menu so what do I need to activate that function ?

"Closest point" is not the same as "front surface, it distorts
the projected curve in search for the closest points, have
you realitzed that, Pilou ?

Depending of the nature of the curve, the nature of the target surface, the nature of what do you want ...

How do you want project a curve on a sphere without deformation ?

I meant deformation relative to the deformation of the parallel projetion,of course.

Sorry no, not currently. For now you will need to delete the back one, or split the target object so it doesn't have multiple pieces projected onto it.

I would like to do an overhaul of the project command in v5. Also the "closest pt" option tends to produce bad output, it isn't really usable currently either.
