Hi, i read about the incremental save feature and interested to know...

Any chance we can also set number of times we can do "undo"
(Control,shift,z)?

This feature would be really useful I didnt seen to be able to go back more than two or three steps. - Stefano

Hi Stefano, there are some settings in moi.ini for undo, you can reach these by using Options > General > "Edit .ini file" button:

[Undo]
MaxMemorySizeMB=20
MinNumberOfUndos=10

The way it works is that it should keep at least the "MinNumberOfUndos", and it will keep more than that if the objects in the undo stack consume leess than "MaxMemorySizeMB" numbef of Megabytes.

Can you maybe describe a little more about what you're doing when you see the undo that's limited to only 2 or 3 steps? If you see it with a particular model can you please post the .3dm model file so I can test with it over here?

Thanks,
- Michael

You can also make a simple save "Name of project 0_1", "Name of project 0_2" any time you want etc...
look here https://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=9886.4

You can also launch any Moi3D sessions you want (following size of project / Memory available )

Hi Michael, thanks again... currently doing 'interface learning" so I just click around and see what happens. Basically, dont have a particular file the undo observation relates to. I will try and test it again then look at the INI. Asides getting creative and turning boring machine bolts into flying monster things yesterday*... my main workflow envisaged (for work) will typically like multiple undo and be about fast positioning of objects to precise coordinates.

*PS. Point editing is mind blowing and a LOT of fun.

Hi Michael;
Control copied 30 shapes onto drawing and then did "undo" (control z) back to zero objects;ALL GOOD.
I think the "redo" button missed me before and was trying to 'redo' by pressing control+shift+z
then thinking 'nothing happening'. So....re-assigned "re-do" in options/shortcuts from control Y
to what i'm used to: (control + shift +z).

All perfect now cheers!

PS. Custom UI now installed. Found the instructions required bit of concentration / trial and error.
Lighting options not working but im fine with that till another day....

Hi Stefano, that's great that is sorted out!

For the lighting options, that is looking for a chunk of information saved into moi.ini by another plug-in, this one here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=5222.48

If you run that other plug-in it will set up the information that CustomUI is looking for and then the lighting options should work after that.
