For the current course I teach, I have produced some video tutorials in German in addition to the distance learning.
Because my students are goldsmith apprentices, the focus is on jewellery design.
Maybe the videos are helpful for others as well.
In each video a tool from MoI3D is presented.
Subtitles in other languages can be added to YouTube.

Have fun Stefan

Thanks for sharing these. I just started to experiment with Moi3D so these are really helpful for me as most of the YouTube video tutorials are for more experienced users.

Fantastic, thank you so much for posting them !!

In the video "Bildwerkzeug" you show blueprints of eyeglasses.
I am currently aiming to learn more about eyewear design -
overall measures, radius of glasses, types of hinges, and every
detail a designer needs to know about this topic to be able
to create a production-ready design.

So here is my question if you or anyone in the forum can point
me to professional ressources ! TOM

YES !

I began to view it and it's very cool.
Very good step by step, you explain very well.

I work german too, with original sound and subtitles. I set the speed at 0.75 to help me.
Very cool, Thanks !

From where are you ? Germany or Swiss ?
I heard some "OK" and "Voilà"

Vielen Dank !

Hi SIRTOM

I simply entered "glasses technical drawings" in the Google image search.
At Pinterest you will find a lot of plans.
The eyeglass manufacturers don't like to give such measures away for fear of being copied.
I took the approximate measurements of my existing glasses and created a redesign.
For reference I took a figure from makehuman http://www.makehumancommunity.org, exported it as obj and imported it into Moi.

I wrote this before getting to the information that you are Swiss. But, I decided to keep my comments because just writing them brought back so many good memories.

In 1981 I was working for a video game company (Astrocade) and we were in discussions with Standard Elektrik Lorenze in Pforzheim.

Had the deal gone through I was to live there for several years. I was really looking forward to it because that was such a beautiful area. But, it was not to be. And, that saddens me because I never learned German and cannot fully appreciate your lessons, which look wonderful.

But, I did get two great things out of the experience. First, my trips to Pforzheim, where I had time to sight-see, and secondly, the privilege of taking the CEO of the Standard Elektrik to the Seigfried & Roy Show in Las Vegas during one CES event. That remains a wonderful memory.

I, for one, whether I can understand German or not, will definitely try to follow along in your classes on jewelry. As I do, I'd like to get back to you if I miss something.

Thank you so much for this effort.

Tom Meeks

P.S. Here is a web site dedicated to that game system: https://ballyalley.com/
