Hi Michael, I think that would make sense. I wanted to avoid relying on that as the primary method for handling view maximizing at first because it is kind of a bit hidden. But it would certainly be possible in version 2.0 to add that as another way to control view maximizing in addition to the tabs at the bottom.
Do you find that the size of the video is a problem?
YouTube videos for instance are just about half this width and height. At first I was thinking of doing them in the YouTube size but at that really small size everything tends to get really fuzzy and just generally hard to see smaller details of the UI...
