Hello,

new non-tech user here.

I am struggling with setup of custom ui, guess I am missing something.

1. I am trying to achieve this look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc_iDQ6bnaQ&list=PLnK-YGmMYI75_4Bn8HT4HNVkaMp3y1tSw&index=12

2. I am looking for file with all the shortcuts and way to install them? I tried to load the ini file from the video above, but I guess it does not work, since nothing changes in the settings.

Is there any step by step guide with up to date files for the points above?

Thank you in advance.

Hi SADOOO, what version of MoI are you using and what operating system?

re: "All the shortcuts" - there isn't really such a thing, shortcuts can contain script code in them and so there isn't a fixed number of them.

Check out here for some previous discussion:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=9680.2

To install shortcuts you could either copy the entire moi.ini file over top of your current one, or you can open moi.ini in a text editor and copy/paste the shortcut keys section.

You can see where moi.ini is located by using Options > General > "Edit .ini file" button. That will put up a dialog that has the location of the moi.ini file that is being used on it and if you continue it will open it up in a text editor for you to edit it.

Some shortcuts can contain script code directly in the shortcut key definition. For that type once you set up the shortcut key it's ready. Some shortcuts may be referring to plug-ins and you will also need to install the plug-in for it to work.

Hi,

I am using Moi 3.0 and Windows 10.

By all shortcuts I meant ini with all basic commands written down, so all I have to do is assign the keybindings. But I guess Ill just do it manually one by one.

Editing ini in text editor works just fine, I had only problem loading the ini directly for some reason.

Thanks.

Hi SADOOO, there is a list of all command names written down in the "Shortcuts" section of the help file here:
http://moi3d.com/3.0/docs/moi_command_reference11.htm#shortcutkeys

For installing CustomUI onto v3/windows 10, get the file CustomUI.1.03.win.mac.zip which is attached to the message at:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=6507.1

Unzip the file and you should see that it contains 3 folders in it: "objects", "snapshots", and "ui". These need to be copied into the install folder.

The install folder for v3 is: C:\Program Files (x86)\MoI 3.0 .

So copy the "objects" folder from the .zip over to C:\Program Files (x86)\MoI 3.0 .

Also copy the "snapshots" folder from the .zip over to C:\Program Files (x86)\MoI 3.0 .

You should now have folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MoI 3.0\objects
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\MoI 3.0\snapshots

Now there is one more folder left to copy, the "ui" folder. For this one note that there is an already existing folder in the install with that name. So copy the contents of the .zip's ui folder into C:\Program Files (x86)\MoI 3.0\ui . It will ask you if you want to overwrite one file, say yes. Now it is installed.
