Have you some lights about that ? Automatic vertical projection a volume to a curve...
wanted (here the curve is not more axed but don't want remake the animation... :)


Because the Flow function don't work in the fact that
new points are added and destroy the "subdivided" state!

Here the final result (curvated subdivided volume sausage) is the manually projection above!



If I take "rigid" i have the good number of points but of course lost the curvature!


Sure i can make something with Elephant but before i am pretty sure that a trick is existing :)

Hi Pilou, the Flow command works by constructing new surfaces, fitting and refining them to match the Flow deformation (except for with "Rigid" mode). It's built into it that it refines (and thus adds more points) as needed so the surface shape matches a target tolerance value.

It is not a command that is focused on preserving the control point structure of the surfaces being deformed.
