Hi Guys,

Setting up MoI V4 on a new PC with all my add-ons and UI settings that I have on my Mac MoI V4. New to PCs so not sure of all the file locations etc.

How do I get the Scene Browser tab to fall under the SubD/Dim tabs (as all the other stacked tool tabs) vs being split between the top and bottom of the MoI screen? See attachment.

Edit something in SidePane through notepad?

Thx!

Hi mat, you may want to just copy over your moi.ini file from your Mac to your PC, that way all your settings stored in there will be transferred at once including this one.

You can find the location of your moi.ini file by going to Options > General > "Edit .ini file" button. The dialog that pops up will have the location of your moi.ini file. Find the location of it on your Mac, and find the location of it on your PC and then copy that file from your Mac location to the PC location.

To set this option directly, the setting for it is under Options > General > "Scene browser position" here:

Switch that to be Scene browser position: "Inside" .

Hi Michael,

Wow that was easy...scene browser position button, thx.

With the INI file from my MAC to my PC, the PC is a company PC...different license. Will the Mac INI file work with a different license of MoI?

If so...do I delete the current MoI (configuration setting) file and install the Mac config setting file (INI)?

Thx!

Hi mat,

Yes the .ini file works the same between Mac and PC, and also it does not contain any license key inside it. So you can just copy it over.

Yes, you want to just replace the default moi.ini file that was created on your new install with the one from your older system.

You can delete the newer one or just overwrite it when copying over it.
