Shortcut and Scripts Support

Hi all,

I recently got into Moi because within it shortcuts can shine.

Having to implement shortcuts as I go seems like a daunting task.. Most software comes with a standard shortcut setup more robust than what Moi offers.
I saw some threads about people posting their ini file for shortcuts but those posts seem old.

Is there any standard shortcut file that people have tested and are in agreement that it is a great way to approach MOi with shortcuts?
I am trying to start with the right step proven to work by others, instead of having to do all the ground work of adding shortcut by shortcut by myself

any help is appreciated

Hi tsiwt, the philosophy for MoI's shortcuts system is that the shortcuts are a personalization function that you can tune to your own preferences.

There is not an emphasis on having an extensive default set of shortcuts. Actually more the opposite of that - the original concept for MoI was that it could be used easily on a tablet without needing to touch the keyboard at all.

But if you want to have a bunch of predefined shortcuts that someone else has designed for you, there are some available here:

The above thread can be found by doing a forum search for "shortcuts" targeting titles only.

Also the tutorial from Arrimus3D includes a shortcut key setup I think, there is a link to that at http://moi3d.com/resources.

Hi tsiwt,

Only my two cents here, but if you already have "muscle memory" of shortcuts on a different 3d app, I would capitalize on that, building MoI shortcuts around the same logic. It's easier to keep key bindings in your mind that way, even if you go away from the program for some time.

Welcome!
