Hi Rie, yes surface area and volume calculations were new functions in the most recent v4 beta release, which has been available for a couple of months now. See the message at the top of the message list here in the forum. You can get the v4 beta at http://moi3d.com/beta.htm .
Surface area and volume calculations are now available by selecting the object of interest and then pushing the "Details..." button to go to the new detailed object properties dialog:
