I know you're still developing MOI, but I would just like to add that the display on my new intel core duo Macbook (2gigs ram) running parallels desktop 3.0 obviously has some sort of video incompatibility. MOI runs fine.....it just displays a black shape instead of the nice 3d shaded look. I will have to try it on bootcamp later. I switched to mac OSX in 2005 and I must say that MOI has me second-guessing that decision.

I've tried enabling Directx support yet it cause the problem to get worse. I opened MOI after doing that and the entire viewer area would not draw. I could see the Windows desktop in its place. The video memory could only be increased to 64mb

Hi DMD, it should work fine with Bootcamp.

That it displays black is actually a step up, I previously had reports that the emulation system crashed when running MoI on an earlier version of it.

Unfortunately the DirectX support in Parallels 3 is just not up to the same level as the rest of its emulation system.... The last time I checked the Parallels forum was full of reports of crashes and problems trying to run a lot of different DirectX game programs.


Bootcamp is entirely different since it isn't an emulation layer, it just runs Windows directly on your hardware, so that should work without any problem.
