Color options for lines/polylines

Hey fellow draftsmen/draftswomen!

For some time now, I have been playing with styles and the View tab in options. You can set a darkened style for the volume edges which looks great and it's easy on the eye.

The problem is, that these color options do not affect the colors of lines, so If you have a grey style and you try to draw a polyline on its surface, the line often gets lost.

This is not the case with the Default style, which despite having white surfaces, edges and lines are striking black. I was wondering if there is a way to control the polyline color for each style, or at least mimic the way the default style functions. Does anyone know? :O

Hi nameless, sorry no there is not any way to set a different color independently for a style's wire drawing versus it's shaded surface drawing.

It's just built in to the display system that if you have a style with a color of full black, that is taken to be a black wire color and a white shaded surface color.

But it is possible to modify a setting in moi.ini that will cause all curves to be drawn in one fixed color instead of in the style color though, that's under:

[View]
<....>
CurveColorMode=ByStyle
CurveFixedColor=0,0,0

CurveColorMode can be either ByStyle or FixedColor

That solved my problem completely. Thank you Michael!

It's very useful for working with medium toned styles.
