Hi.

The copypaste command to export curves is a great helper.

Now, is there a way to get the curve poasitioned in Photoshop
at exactly the same position it was in MOI ?

Hi Tom, try using PDF format instead of AI, like this:
script:moi.geometryDatabase.copyToClipboardPDF();

When you export out from MoI set Scale = "Preserve units" and uncheck "Center on page". Then in Photoshop under Edit > Preferences > General uncheck "Resize Image During Paste/Place".

Over here that seems to do it, but it only seems to work for PDF format in the clipboard, not AI format. That seems to be a Photoshop problem, I get the same behavior with putting AI format in the clipboard from Adobe Illustrator as well.

Hi Michael,

Does not work for me - could it be because I
am using an older version of Photoshop ?

I was testing it here with an old version myself (CS2)...

I guess I'll need more details about exactly how you're trying to do it, are you possibly exporting a 3D perspective view projection instead of an ortho view?

Hi Tom, so it wasn't working over here it just looked like it with the object I happened to test with.

It doesn't seem like Photoshop CS4 or earlier is able to do that, I found a mention here that starting with CS5 there is a "Paste in place" function:
