Strange experience with MoI v4 beta Feb-27-2019

I use Mac OS Mojave and just recently installed MoI v4 beta Feb-27-2019 because the one from autumn 2018 expired.

None of the buttons in the option dialog like "Lightning options", "View angles" or "Axis label options" works. When I click on them nothing happens. But when I click edit .ini file all the subwindows appear and the option dialog window works until I close it and open it again. I attach a screenshot of what I see when I first click "Lightning options", "View angles" or "Axis label options" (and nothing happens) and then "Edit .ini file".

I'm pretty sure this worked in previous betas.

Hi Martin, hmm that's pretty strange. Is it possible that on the button pushes where nothing happens that the dialog is being shown underneath the Options dialog? I mean like for example when you push "Lighting options" and nothing happens, if you then move the Options dialog to the side a ways are you able to see that the dialog is underneath it?

Do you possibly have any kind of custom window management extensions set up on your system?

Hi Michael,

no the windows are not shown underneath the Options dialog and I have no custom window management extensions installed.

But when I just tried to look if the windows are maybe behind the MoI program window I noticed that I used MoI in Full Screen Mode (Green button) which I normally don't do. I switched to normal window mode and the options dialog worked as expected. It's only in Full Screen Mode that the buttons do not work.

Now that I know that it is no big deal as I generally prefer to work in normal window mode.

Hi Martin, I am able to repeat that over here. It looks like they are actually behind the options dialog but they are attached to it and move with it so you can't uncover it. It does not seem to happen on High Sierra so I'd guess it's probably a bug in Mojave but I'll investigate what I can do to avoid it. Thanks for reporting it!

Thanks Finema, must have been fixed sometime after 10.14.0 . I think I've got a fix for it anyway though which should hopefully be less likely to get messed up.

Hmm well my new way does not seem to work well on older OS versions so maybe I shouldn't mess with this.

Martin, are you on 10.14.5 or an older version of Mojave then that?

Hi Michael,
I also use OS X 10.14.5

System Version: macOS 10.14.5 (18F132)
Kernel Version: Darwin 18.6.0

Hi Finema,
just to be extra clear the option dialog buttons really work in FULLSCREEN MODE?

Hi Martin & Finema - I've got a fix for this problem where the sub dialogs on the Options window weren't showing in full screen mode on Mojave. So it should be fixed for the next v4 beta. I was able to simplify the dialog level management quite a bit so hopefully it won't be likely to get broken again.

Thanks for reporting it!
