Hello, I'm using a modified UI and have noticed I have a couple of Icons Missing - Lock + Hide icons. How can I get them back. Not being a programmer I have no idea where to look and find them in the original html/js. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ron,

Are you using MoI3, or MoI4beta?
Are you using appdata folder, Mac or Windows7/10?

Are you using the MiniSidepane? MiniSidepane for my MoI4 beta is located in ...appdata..., under Startup folder, miniSidePane.js, and subfolder MiniSidepane which contains 26 HideLock.js.

I recollect trying out the MiniSidePane, which was partly desire-able, BUT which put Hide and Lock down at the bottom of the MoI screen(?), so I STOPPED using the MiniSidePane.

Hi Brian,
I use version 3 under Win10 and am like you an amateur user. I only started using it last week, and have found it much easier to get my head round than almost all other 3d apps. As it's so configurable, I just wanted to expand it a bit so installed a couple of custom Ui's which give access to more features and scripts etc, but somewhere along the line a couple of features are missing - I think the custome ui designer obviously intended it that way as everything is still there. By the way what does miniSidePane.js do? It's not part of my install so assume its for Moi 4?

Hi Ron, really I don't recommend trying to customize the UI right when you're first starting with MoI. It's just generally counter productive because many custom UIs that you'll come across are tuned to one particular person's workflow and it may not match your own needs. It's better to wait until you are a little more experienced in using MoI until messing around with that.

But to answer your question - the Lock and Hide icons in the original UI for v3 are located on lines number 125 and 126 in the file SidePane.htm .

Hi Ron,
Due to my limited knowledge, no comment on minisidepane :-)
(You can always do a Search on the forum.)
(I'm sticking with the standard MoI sidepane, &customui, objectlibrary, snapshot, nodeedit, (& S_Gallery in tryout status).
Screen real estate is precious.

Hi Michael, Many thanks for the speedy and helpful reply. To be honest, I think like many other users in that I'm a bit of a tinkerer at heart and just like to play with the way things look :)
Regards,
Ron
