Opening Rhino and Matrix Gold files in MOI?

I sometimes work with files prepared by other programs and when opening a .3dm file in MOI that was created in Rhino or Matrix gold, sometimes objects are missing. Does anyone know why this happens or if there's a way to prepare/ import / export 3dm files from those applications into MoI while preserving all the objects? Thanks in advance!

Hi silverwoods, they are probably either mesh objects or block instances. You'd be able to tell by selecting them and using the "What" command in Rhino.

For mesh objects there isn't really a good way to bring those into MoI because MoI does not work with meshes for modeling.

For block instances you could use the ExplodeBlock command in Rhino to convert the block instances into regular objects and then MoI would be able to see them.

Or the problem also could be that it's a Rhino v6 .3dm file. If that's the case you'd need to do a "Save As" to Rhino v5 .3dm format for it to go into MoI.
