tl;dr - visual aid for moment when solid becomes joined surfaces

Hello!
First time posting here.
I was using 3ds max and sub-d modelling for last 2 decades, after trying fusion360 and grobot long time ago, i've decided to give it a go for moi3d, and oh boy did it clicked.
2 weeks into it, and i'll be buying full version after trial period ends.

It is hard for me to find anything to complain about interface, its well-thought and optimised for speed - after setting some custom shortcuts, transition from polygonal modelling and years of work in max was as smooth as it could be.
Only one thing i have hard time keeping track about, is the moment when i overdo some fillets/chamfers, and object changes from "solid" to "joined surfaces" - im yet to learn how to fix that, however usually just few ctrl+z and i can adjust thing that broke it.
What would be super-helpfull, would be some kind of visual aid (a popup? window flash? change of color to red maybe?) when object im working on changes type to joined surfaces, so i'll immidiately know i've done something wrong, and dont build my model on top of that.
I have some experience with maxscript and c#, but for now i have very little knowledge about writing toos / addons for MOI, so im officially requesting a script here.

Thanks in advance!
A.

btw check my portfolio, soon to be updated with works done with moi3d!

Hi propiro, I'm really glad you are liking MoI!

So a script like you describe would need to respond to some kind of object change event so it could run then and perform some actions. However, there currently is no such notification mechanism in place for a script to hook into so it's not really feasible right now to make such a script.

This is definitely an area that I want to improve in the future though, I have some ideas for enabling commands to generate warning messages which could then be used for this.

Thanks, - Michael

Like Propiro, I am too looking forward to some kind of alert for when a solid breaks. And yes, MoI is amazing!
