Anyone knows if there is a script that can symmetrize a curve? (delete one half and mirror the existing half +join the result)

I am used to mirror and weld function and I was curious if anything of the like exists for MoI!

That's kind of a neat feature request. Right now, we have to manually trim the curve at the mirror axis point, mirror the curve and then join the curves. It's not so bad, but if you have to do it enough times, I can see the benefit of automating it a bit.

I wonder if this idea could be expanded to an on/off "mirror mode" where you could turn it on, define the mirror axis/plane, and everything you do is mirrored automatically until you turn it off. This might reap the maximum benefit of diving into a new symmetry script. You'd be creating a symmetrical curve right from the start with this way of looking at it.

Hi nameless, I'm not aware of any script like that. I do want to experiment with some different symmetry draw modes in the future.

Agreed Cody! It will make a lightning fast workflow even faster. It really adds up over time and I am not sure if it is something that everyone uses, but I find myself trimming, mirroring and joining on a constant basis.
