MOI3D training

I'm a newbie to MOI3D and recently I purchased this training: https://gumroad.com/l/vavRq/moi3D?fbclid=IwAR3fWNggPXYZrDInl6IjenjVgQa8Z95tYWpn2KsMnchWj_ZBgb-a4UVTBVY

Now it's discounted by 40% over Christmas.

I have no affiliation to the vendor, but I think it's a fantastic course (so far anyway) and I thought I'd give it a heads-up to any other newbies like me.

There's no financial affiliation for me making this post. I won't profit if anyone buys it. I just think it's a bargain even though there's free stuff out there.

Paul

If one were to order, are these videos you can download or do you need to use their website to view them? Is there video commentary throughout or do you have to figure out what they are trying to tell you as they are doing it? Just curious. Without a sample of what the video is like, unlikely that I would jump on it. JMHO

Hi jon
The videos are available for download after purchase. There appears to be commentary throughout(at least all the videos I have looked at so far have voice). The tools are explained prior to use and, although there is some speed modelling in later videos, the author still explains what tools he is using and what he is doing. For $15 I think it is a good deal.

Cheers
Mal

seems quite legit... funny that bojan didn't "advertise" it here in the forum.

Hello all, I'm quite new to MOI and thus any tutorials that'll help me get from A to B are good to have. I clicked on Paul's link and downloaded the tutorial as I'm quite happy to risk it for $15. I just flicked through some of the videos and I'm happy I bought it. The creator of the videos (Bojan) is easy to understand, and the pace is easy to follow. His portfolio page shows the final images, and they look awesome. I'm a ZBrush & KeyShot user, and I can see how this will be of great benefit to me.
Like Paul, I'd like to point out I'm in no way affiliated with Bojan and his Gumroad course, but I do like to support people how put time and effort into creating content that keeps my/our learning curve down.

I can also recommend the free YouTube tutorials by CubifyFan, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLimpdmNC3XdN_n72oXgNnCpLhgJi_kl5R

Another good free resource of YouTube video tutorials is by Chipp Walters: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnK-YGmMYI75_4Bn8HT4HNVkaMp3y1tSw

Hope this helps other newbies like myself.

Eric

You can download the video, or watch it online - there's also a gumroad app.

Here's the promo for it - don't be alarmed by the massively speeded up video - it's just to give an idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Szs-hMOaOcQ

He has a great pace and he goes through the tools one by one at the start with a spoken commentary accompanying the visuals.

I wound up purchasing this training and I must say, it is indeed well worth the cost! I've gone through the basics and up to Part 2 (Knife demo part 1). The material is presented very well and clear, it has been helpful. Great job and I do recommend it to others that are interested!

Yeah I agree this is a good tutorial. When I first into Moi I did confused for the interface and everything ,and I found this tutorial it is pretty clear and helped me a lot.
After follwing this tutorial, I am now using Moi very offen in my modelling jobs.

Hey Paul, I found your post from 2 years ago mentioning Bojan's Moi3D tutorials which I am now watching to lean the basics. Might you have any other tutorial recommendations for newbies since you are two years more experienced?

Thanks

These might interest you:

https://gumroad.com/paulchadeisson#AnXXy

If you search for MOI3D on gumroad you can even find some freebies and there are many freebies on youtube.

Some people sell quite expensive tutorials and I can't say they aren't value for money because they are very detailed and comprehensive, but I suggest you don't buy them!

Why not buy expensive, detailed tutorials? Well I think once you get the hang of MOI3D, you will be in a position to build complex stuff from the principles learned.

Good luck
