Install fail

I am trying to install MoI on my iMac. First, the install was prohibited because it was from an 'unknown developer', which was disconcertingg.

I overrode that security feature, but was still unable to open it. A screenshot of the error message received is attached.

(I was trying to install the no save version of MoI to try it out.)

Where do I go from here?

Thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew, the "Error cannot write to Info.plist" is caused by a security function in recent OS versions that make application bundles to be read only if they are run directly from the Downloads folder. To solve it you just need to move the app over into your /Applications folder before trying to run it, that's typically the place where applications should be installed to.

And yes the first time you run MoI you need to right-click it and choose "Open" from that menu since the OS also has other security functions that by default blocks applications that are not digitally signed (which MoI is not). After you do the manual open step one time it will go on a white list and you can open it normally after that.

Michael,
Many thanks for the prompt response.
It has been successfully installed and opened. Now let's have some fun!
Thanks again.
Andrew
